Abandoned in Malacca

The initial setting of the story is in British Malaya in the 1950s. A child who has been 'legally' abandoned at 5 years of age goes through an identity crisis of sorts. The thread of the story weaves through the abandonement theme in Malacca, Singapore and all the way to England as it traces the life of the protagonist who is seeking closure for his situation.
